     Sold them 4992 acres of the farm - Victoria Locations 915, 3344, 5646, 6814, 8370, 8414, 8699 and 8741 [3]
     The only part of the farm in Marchagee not sold was the 3023 acre Victoria Location 8331 [3]
     Assisted his cousin's son Thomas G. REED in acquiring farmland in Marchagee in the late 1940s [205]
Over a number of years he purchased several houses in the Carnamah townsite, which he rented out to tenants [3]

     During the 1951-52 financial year purchased 27 & 29 Macpherson Street (Lots 6 & 7 of M1354) from Cecil H. NIND [3]
     There were two stone houses at 27 & 29 Macpherson Street, which had in the 1930s been a tailor's shop and vet clinic [3]
     In 1953 purchased from the Rural & Industries Bank a house at 17 Robertson Street (Lot 28 of Victoria Location 1936) [3]
     In 1954 purchased from Thomas H. PARKIN the vacant 1 & 3 Caron Street (Lots 40 & 39 of Victoria Location 1936) [3]
     Purchased an old house from Charles W. J. TURNER and had it moved from Karragee Farm to 3 Caron Street [P96]
On 24 August 1949 his wife Eliza had a heart attack while dining at Wells & Wells Pyramid Tearooms in Carnamah and died [1] [P22]
In 1949 had the telephone connected to his house at 12 Robertson Street, which was number Carnamah-35 [60]
In September 1952 began paying Carnamah firm Henry Parkin & Son for electricity to his house at 12 Robertson Street [53]
