Her father served in the Australian Imperial Force during the First World War and acquired farmland in Carnamah as a soldier settler [30]
Along with her mother and sister she caught the train from Perth to Perenjori in October 1923 to join her father and brother on the farm [30]
Resided with her parents on Lot 6 of the Inering Estate in Carnamah 1923-1925 [30]
After selling their farm in August 1925 they left Carnamah and shifted to South Perth [30]
Resided with her parents and grandmother at her grandmother's home at 25 Roseberry Avenue in South Perth [30]
Her father died aged 39 on 13 November 1925 and her mother at the age of 43 on 31 May 1928 [30]
Following her father and then her mother's death she continued to reside with her grandmother Mrs Nellie PHILPOTT [30]
Student at Saint Joseph's Convent School in South Perth until leaving in Standard VI [30]
Student at Underwood Business College in Perth, where she undertook commercial training as a Typist & Shorthand Writer [30]
The Department of Repatriation contributed to her education as it had ruled that her father's war service had contributed to his death [30]
She was granted money for her college fees, books, fares for a year and a 10/- per week allowance in mid 1927 [30]
After a number of months at college her ability and aptitude was described as "very satisfactory" and her conduct as "excellent" [30]
At the age of 15 she secured a job as a Shorthand Typist at Balfour & Company on King Street in Perth in July 1928 [30]
As she was employed, her education allowance and the maintenance allowance to her grandmother were both discontinued [30]
Married George Reginald O'DWYER in 1942 [66]
In 1971 she was living at 6/29 Parramatta Street in the Sydney suburb of Cronulla [30: item 13164147]
