His mother was delayed in learning of his state owing to the fact that she had shifted to Deniliquin in New South Wales [30]
Arrived back in Carnamah in July 1919 and was welcomed home at a celebration held at the schoolroom in Carnamah [10: 11-Jul-1919]

They held the block in partnership as "Newman & Salter" and probably used it to graze livestock from their Carnamah farms [3]
They forfeited their lease for the block on 29 December 1933, and it was later taken up by Robert MACKIE [3]
