Won a cake in a raffle at the Hospital Ball in the Agricultural Hall in Three Springs on Thursday 5 April 1923 [9: 27-Apr-1923]
He was among the 400 people who attended the Matrons and Benedicts Ball held in Three Springs on 31 August 1928 [4: 8-Sep-1928]
Married "Vi" Violet Rose DODD in Three Springs in 1929 [15]
In October 1929 purchased a new 30 cwt. Ford truck from dealers Messrs FORD & KIDSON of Three Springs [4: 19-Oct-1929]
Employee of the Main Road Board in Carnamah in 1933 [5: 11-Aug-1933]
He was driving his Brockway Junior truck on the old main road in Carnamah on 4 August 1933 when it collided with another truck [5]

During a family holiday his son Arthur disappeared beneath the waves near Lancelin on 27 December 1948 [P447]
     Arthur's body was never found but it was thought he'd been taken by a shark [P447]
     A young human hand was found inside a shark caught off Leighton Beach nine days later [P447]
Later resided in Moora, where he passed away at the age of 89 years [116]
