They kept two cows for milk, which were shut up at night, and then milked in the morning (their calves got the evening milk) [P7]
Through the use of a separator they obtained milk and cream from the cow's milk, and she also made butter [P7]
They purchased their first refrigerator for £80 from Carnamah agent W. George MULLIGAN [P7]
Purchased two weaner pigs from Thomas J. BARKER for about £1 each which began what became her husband's large piggery [P7]
