In addition to a bereaved widow, the deceased gentleman is survived by three sons (Alf, Wally and Phil) and five daughters comprising Mavis (Mrs. C. Rayner), Jean (Mrs H. Davis), Fay (Mrs. P. Moody), Eunice (Mrs. A. Niven) and Shirley (Mrs. E. K. Rowland) and there are also seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends the funeral took place in the Winchester Cemetery on Saturday last with the Rev. Threlfall officiating at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs. T. Perry, L. Schier, E. Gurr and C. Robertson, and the casket was borne from the hearse to the grave by Messrs. S. Fleay, R. Watson, R. Parkin and R. Bowran."
