The 701 acres was Lot M1121 of Victoria Location 2023 and still had instalments owing to the Midland Railway Company [27]
On 5 August 1922 took out a contract with the Midland Railway Company to purchase 860 acres of virgin land in Coorow [27]
The 860 acres was Lot M1391 of Victoria Location 2023 and cost £279 (6/6 per acre), payable by instalments over 15 years [27]
Sold Lot M1121 to Mrs Daisy L. FARLEY on 12 June 1925, and Lot M1391 to Alfred G. WALLIS on 8 November 1926 [27]
During the 1920s he went to jail for six weeks for shooting his son Clem in the ankle during an argument about the farm [P196]
