Arrino Market
Goldsbrough, Mort and Company Limited report having conducted a sheep sale in Mr B.J. Ackley’s yards at Arrino on Wednesday, when they yarded and sold 1,850 sheep. There was a good attendance of buyers from the Midland and Wongan Hills lines and areas as far apart as Geraldton and Moora. The quality of the yarding was good, comprising a number of fresh lines of young wethers and weaners, which met with steady competition throughout the day, resulting in a total clearance at late rates, Quotations: - Ewes, 4, 6 and sound full mouth, good frames, excellent condition, 21/-; ewes, 4, 6 and sound moth with odd faulty mouths, good frames and condition, 14/10, 16/-, 17/7; aged ewes, in good order, 9/7, 12/1, 12/4; Dorset cross ewe lambs, small line, fairly well grown, 13/3; Merino wethers, mainly 2, 4 and 6 tooth, forward to fat, good frames, 12/9, 13/6, 14/6 and 15/-; rougher types, to full mouth, in fair condition, 12/9; Merino weaners, mixed sexes, small, 10/9; wether weaners, well grown, sappy types, 9/4, 11/1, 12/1."
