In 1908 "York Bros" had a subscription to The Midlands Advertiser newspaper, which was published weekly in Moora [9: 11-Dec-1908]
They reaped 28 bushels of wheat from a 200 acre field that was virgin soil with no fertiliser in 1909 [9: 25-Mar-1920]
In 1910 they won 2nd prize for a Hack in the Horses in Action section of the Moora Agricultural Show [9: 28-Oct-1910]
They sold 19 bales of wool at 15¾d. per pound at the first wool sale of the season on Friday 4 November 1921 [10: 11-Nov-1921]
His brother George Thomas YORK, who he'd been farming with, died at the age of 50 years on 29 April 1924 [2] [10: 12-Jun-1924]
During May 1924 York Bros donated £1/1/- for the Midlands District Fallen Soldiers' Memorial in Moora [10: 12-Jun-1924]

Resided with his wife and daughter Doris in the stone house at 5 Macpherson Street in Carnamah 1939-1941 [19]
Like the previous owner, he and his wife appear to have leased the shop at 7 Macpherson Street to Eric H. GURR [3]
Had an account with Carnamah blacksmith, wheelwright and motor mechanics Henry Parkin & Son in 1941 [53]
Along with his wife and daughter left Carnamah on 15 June 1941 and shifted back to Watheroo [0: image 04017]
In 1941 sold his shop premises in Carnamah to Eric H. GURR and in 1946 he also sold GURR his house in Carnamah [3]
