"At his residence, Mills terrace, North Adelaide, on Friday, the death occurred of Mr Arthur Frederick Diamond, after a short illness. Mr Diamond, who was the eldest son of the late Mr Arthur J. Diamond, member for South Fremantle in the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, was born on December 12, 1868, in Adelaide. His father formerly lived in Adelaide, and was founder and first secretary of the Norwood Football Club. He left for Fremantle, Western Australia, in the late eighties. There father and son were associated in business for many years as merchants, shipping and Customs agents. On the death of his father Mr A. P. Diamond went to Melbourne, and about 1907 returned to Adelaide, where he had since lived. He was employed by Messrs. Colton, Palmer & Preston as a Customs agent for many years. Mr Diamond was married three times--first to Miss C. M. Hodge, of Port Adelaide, next to Miss J. Campbell, of Victoria, and last to Miss J. Christman, of Victoria, who survives him. He has left three sons by his first marriage - Mr A. S. Diamond (chief clerk, town clerk's office, Adelaide), Captain S. L. Diamond (of the Torres Straits pilot services), and Mr R. M. Diamond (of Carnamah. Western Australia) - a daughter by the second marriage, Miss jean Diamond (Victoria), and a son by the third marriage, Master Broughton Carey Diamond."
