Tendered a Linen Tea at the home of Mrs Mary L. GRONOW on Ingleneuk Farm in Waddy Forest on 7 August 1930 ^{[39: 18-Aug-1930]}
Attended the Masquerade Ball held in Coorow during September 1930 to raise funds for the Coorow Hospital Fund ^{[86: 12-Sep-1930]}

"The engagement is announced of Mary Ridgway, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W.G. Morcombe, Wynmara, Coorow, to Alaraic Clinton, fourth son of Mr and Mrs C. McB. Broun, Bougainwille, Pingelly."


From The Geraldton Guardian and Express newspaper, Saturday 1 November 1930:
Wedding - First Ceremony at Coorow - Broun-Morcombe
"The Coorow Hall was the scene of a pretty wedding on October 25th, the contracting parties being Miss Mary Morcombe, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. G. Morcombe, of Waddy Forest, and Mr Clinton Broun, son of Mr and Mrs Broun, of Pingelly. The Rev. Bray officiated. The decorations in the building included a beautiful floral arch arranged by friends and relatives of the bride. The bride, who entered the hall on the arm of her father, looked charming in an ankle length dress of heavy silk lace over georgette, the bodice having a bolero effect. She carried a sheaf of lilies, her veil of embroidered silk net being held in position by a coronet of orange blossom. The bridesmaids (Miss Broun and Miss E. Morcombe) wore ankle length dresses of blue georgette with lace yokes, and both wore champagne coloured court shoes. Wide brimmed crinoline hats and bouquets of pink roses completed their toilets. Two tiny flower girls, dressed in blue, and carrying baskets of pink flowers completed the pretty picture. Mrs Morcombe (mother of the bride) wore a navy blue satin ensemble and carried a bouquet of red roses. Mrs Broun (mother of the bridegroom) wore a sand coloured Celanese frock and hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of gold coloured roses. While the register was being signed Mrs Hunt contributed a pleasing vocal item. Subsequent to the ceremony, amidst a shower of confetti, the bride and bridegroom left for Waddy hall, where the reception was held. Between sixty and seventy guests were present, and the newly married couple received many handsome and useful presents including a number of cheques. During the breakfast the usual toasts were honoured, the Rev. Bray presiding. Mr A. McGilp proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, and the bridegroom proposed the health of the bridesmaids, to which Mr Victor Broun responded. Mr Clem Broun responded for the bridegroom’s parents in the unavoidable absence of Mr Broun, sen. After the breakfast  Miss Davies and Mrs A.E. Morcombe contributed vocal numbers and Mr Brand gave an elocutionary item. The bride travelled in a cinnamon coloured frock with coat, hat and other wearing apparel to match."
