Carnamah Agricultural Society
"A large attendance of thirty members of the Carnamah District Agricultural Society, which was held at Carnamah on Saturday March 29 at 8:40 p.m... Prior to proceeding with the election of officers for the ensuing year, Mr J. L. Adams expressed his appreciation to the secretary and all other officials and committeemen for the assistance they had accorded him during his years of office as president of the society. He also thanked the Road Board employees for the work they had done on the Show Grounds, and the ladies for the excellent support they had afforded him and the society generally. He then nominated Mr David Bowman as president, and that gentleman was unanimously elected. In taking over the chair Mr Bowman made special reference to the excellent work carried out by Mr Adams during his four years’ presidency and moved that a motion be recorded in the minutes expressing the society's thanks and appreciation of the job done by Mr Adams, The motion was carried by acclamation."
