On enlistment he was recorded as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighed 8 stone 10 and had blue eyes, brown hair and a ruddy complexion [30]
He gave his next of kin as his mother Mrs Annie J. RICHMOND, whose address at the time was also Three Springs [18]
Embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia for active service abroad on the H.M.A.T. A28 Miltiades on 12 February 1916 [18]
After further training embarked from Alexandria, Egypt on the Ivernia and disembarked in Marseilles, France on 12 June 1916 [30]
Private 4554 in the Australian Imperial Force's 51st Battalion in France during the First World War [30]
Died from double bronchitis and pneumonia at the 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station in France on 6 July 1916 [30: item 7988288]
By the time his mother received notice that he was dangerously ill, on 13 July, he had already passed away [30]
Before leaving for the Front he wrote a will, in which he left his estate equally between his brothers Frank, Steve and George [30]
His mother received his personal effects, British War Medal, Victory Medal, Memorial Scroll and Memorial Plaque [30]
His personal effects, which were posted to his mother, consisted of an identity disc, letter, silk handkerchief and a cotton bag [30]
Following his death his mother received a fortnightly pension of 15/- from the Australian Imperial Force [30]
His name appears on the Three Springs Honour Board, which was unveiled on Tuesday 3 June 1919 [9: 6-Jun-1919] [10: 13-Jun-1919]

"Many of us who remember Harry Morgan, brother to Frank and Steve, will learn with deep regret that news has just been received of his death from pneumonia and deepest sympathy is felt by us all for his relatives in this sad loss."
