"A member of the Three Springs Road Board and formerly a member of the Mingenew Road Board for five years, Mr. H. J. W. Sweetman is a successful farmer at Arrino. In 1904 he journeyed with his parents in a buggy from Fremantle to Arrino, where they selected a holding. Mr. Sweetman owns Rockvale, a property of 3,600 acres, 1,500 of which are cleared. He had 400 acres of wheat this season and expects a seven-bag average, the principal varieties being Canberra and Merredin. There are 650 acres fallowed for the forthcoming seeding. From 600 to 1,000 sheep are run on Rockvale and Mr. Sweetman intends on embarking on fat lamb production. [His parents] Mr. and Mrs. Sweetman, senr., are living in retirement in Arrino township."
