His father passed away at the age of 37 years in 1893 and in 1894 his mother married William STEPHEN [15]

Sang a song at the Social hosted by Charlie and Winifred THOMAS at the schoolroom in Three Springs on 30 July 1910 [9: 12-Aug-1910]
In April 1915 their young child ate a cigarette butt and in attempting to blow bumbles swallowed water through a wooden pipe [10]
After telephoning Dr MYLES of Moora he caught the train to Three Springs and arrived in time to render medical assistance [10]
Their child survived however suffered from tobacco poisoning which affected his heart [10: 9-Apr-1915]
Won Tilting at the Ring in the ring events at the Three Springs Day held in Three Springs on 26 September 1917 [10: 5-Oct-1917]
He and Jack LYNCH won the Tug of War on Horseback at the Three Springs Peace Celebrations on 19 July 1919 [10: 25-Jul-1919]
