From The North Midland Times newspaper, Friday 5 April 1935:
"Enterprise and ability are two big factors in the success of any business and Mr Alf. Hunter, of The Three Springs Garage,, appears to be endowed with both. Mr Hunter's ambition has been to install his garage and work-shop with an up-to-date and efficient power plant. In this he has been fairly successful and amongst other machinery has power drills, power dressing wheels, power valve grinding machinery, hydraulic press, battery charging and test appliances, oxywelding plant, etc. installed and is now able to undertake any class of work and execute same at reasonable charges in a minimum of time. In fitting up his work-shop Mr Hunter did not forget the outside appearance of his premises, which give a pleasing impression, being newly painted and neat."
