Ten years later he was working as a Drapers Apprentice and was living with his parents and siblings in Saint Peter, Suffolk ^[20]

Prior to leaving England he had worked as a Tailor's Cutter ^[70]
Along with his wife departed London, England on the Orsova and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 7 February 1911 ^[70]
