Son of Albert Thomas JONES and Rosa Alice WATSON [P326]
Farmhand for Vidal F. JACKSON on the Inering Estate in Carnamah in 1924 [260]
A letter he wrote in Carnamah on 17 April 1924 to his mother in England was the last word his family ever heard from him [260] [P326]
In his letter he said he was broke but happy and fit, and described Carnamah as "a real way-back camp" [260]
He had worked doing all sorts of things, including beachcombing, and remarked that it was nothing to travel 200 miles for a job [260]
Travelled around by various means for work including getting lifts in carts, jumping trains and whatever else that saved walking [260]
In May 2007 the Carnamah Historical Society received a copy of his letter from his nephew-in-law Peter J. BENSTEAD [P326]
