After completely overturning midair the car landed back on its wheels with its windscreen and all nine windows still in tact [5]
The top of the car was dented but its strong steel body was credited with saving the lives of him and the other passengers [5]
He sustained head injuries for which he received treatment at the Perth Hospital in Perth [5: 9-Oct-1936]
In 1937 he was one of the first in the state to successfully sell Aberdeen Angus cattle for solid prices at Midland Market [4: 6-Nov-1937]
