"Tom" Thomas Hardy TROTTER

Born 1863 in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire, England ^{[20] [21]}
Son of innkeeper Thomas Hardy TROTTER and Emma SMITH ^{[20] [21]}
His mother had worked as a housekeeper for her widower brother-in-law James MERRIMAN, who she married in 1853 ^{[20] [21]}
Following the death of James his mother worked as a Beehouse Keeper before marrying again in 1863 ^{[20] [21]}
In 1871 he was living with his parents and siblings Elizabeth, Alfred, Kate, Flora and Charles at Greyhound Inn in Mitcheldean ^[20]
His mother passed away later in 1871, and in 1874 his father married their domestic employee Mary Ann MEEK ^{[20] [21]}
By his stepmother the family grew with another two children, William and Clara ^[20]
In 1876 his father died at the age of 47 years, and the following year his stepmother married Henry PALMER ^[21]
His stepmother left England with her new husband and two children and shifted to Llanwonno, Glamorgan, Wales ^[20]
He and his sister Kate were taken in by their uncle and aunt John Brit TROTTER and Mary Eliza TROTTER nee BENNETT ^{[20] [21]}
They were living with their uncle, aunt and cousins on Townsend Street in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire, England in 1881 ^[20]
He later left England and spent time at Kanowna on the Goldfields in Western Australia ^{[372: 21-Oct-1905]}

By 1906 he was working as a Fruiterer in Albany, Western Australia ^[50]

Invalid Pensioner in Carnamah 1927-1930 ^[19]
Believed to have lived in Carnamah with his nephew A. Leslie TROTTER, who was the local baker 1924-1928 ^{[4: 19-May-1928] [9: 4-Apr-1924]}
When he died his nephew placed a death notice in The West Australian newspaper referring to him as his "beloved uncle" ^{[39: 16-Jul-1931]}
Died 14 July 1931 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia ^{[39: 16-Jul-1931]}
