     During the war was a skipper and carted supplies to Port Moresby, Milne Bay, Buna, Finchaven, Madang, Weewak, New Briton [P4]
     Was flown back to Perth to take the Fremantle built ship AV1358AS Greenough to Lae, where the war was in full progress [P4]
     Discharged from the Australian Army on 14 June 1946 [16]
After his discharge returned briefly to the family farm in Port Broughton in South Australia [P4]
With two of his brothers at home on the farm he decided to try his luck elsewhere and shifted to Western Australia later in 1946 [P4]
Resided in Carnamah, Western Australia 1946-1990 [P4]
