"GRIERSON - On January 6, 1936, at the Home of Peace, after a long and painful illness, passed peacefully away, David, beloved and devoted husband of Rachel Grierson, of Koorda, father of Leonard William, father-in-law of Alice, and grandpa of William David; late of Koorda, Nabawa and Yuna; late South African Veteran of the 1st Gordon Highlanders, Liverpool Scottish; aged 59 years."
