Minnie HILBORN / BATTY / MASON

Born 1894 in Whistable, Kent, England ^{[20] [21]}
Daughter of Walter Henry HILBORN and Frances Lavania Hodges RUCK ^{[20] [21]}
In 1901 she was living with her mother, brother Richard and her mother's partner Claude BATTY at 54 Victoria Street in Whitstable ^[20]
Under the surname of BATTY the four of them departed London, England on the steamship Orvieto on 17 February 1911 ^[203]
After a voyage of just over a month, they arrived on the steamship Orvieto in Fremantle, Western Australia on 21 March 1911 ^[338]
She is believed to have resided with her mother, stepfather and brother in Three Springs and Arrino 1916-1922 ^{[9: 27-Oct-1916] [19] [50]}
Her mother died in Arrino in 1922 after being thrown from a cart and was among the first to be buried in the Arrino Cemetery ^[24]
Although having been known as Minnie BATTY, she married under her original name of Minnie HILBORN ^[66]
