Gave his residence as Carnamah when he enlisted in the Australian Army on 30 October 1940 ^[16]
Private WX9318 in the Australian Army's 2/4 Machine Gun Battalion during the Second World War ^[16]
Also in the 2/4 Machine Gun Battalion were Doug CARTER, Bill BAILLIE and Charlie JENNINGS, also of Carnamah ^{[0: image 04003]}
Died from injuries in Japan on 23 March 1945 and had been a Prisoner of War ^{[16] [18]}
Buried and/or Memorialised at the Yokohama War Cemetery near the city of Yuenchi-Dori in Hodogaya Ward, Japan ^[17]
