Obituary
"It is with extreme regret that we record the sudden death of Mrs. Janet Allison Raffan, of Winchester, the deceased lady having passed away at the Carnamah Hospital on Thursday morning after a brief illness. The funeral took place yesterday, the cortege leaving the Carnamah Hall and proceeding to the Winchester cemetery, where a service was conducted by the Rev. E. G. Jaquet, of Three Springs. The late Mrs. Raffan is survived by two sons and two daughters, there being Mrs. Phillips (Dalwallinu), Winifred (Mundaring), and Messrs. George and Gordon Raffan (Winchester)."

Funeral
"The funeral of the late Mrs. J. Raffan, of Winchester, took place in the Winchester cemetery on Friday of last week, at which a most impressive service was conducted by the Rev. E. G. Jaquet in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends. Approximately thirty motor vehicles followed the cortege to the cemetery, the pall-bearers being Messrs. J. Bowman, R. Robertson, E. Bothe, L. Parker, C. Bothe, J. Northey, R. Forrester and J. Colpitts. A large number of beautiful floral tributes were laid upon the grave."

Carnamah News and Notes - Death of Mrs Raffan
"We regret to report the death of an old resident of the Carnamah district., Mrs Janet Allison Raffan, who died after a short illness in the Carnamah Hospital on Thursday, February 25th. The funeral was attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends. The burial took place at the Winchester cemetery."
