During his time abroad he and Miss Winifred M. THOMAS of Three Springs had kept in contact through letters [30]
When he wrote his will in Belgium on 7 February 1918 he bequeathed Winifred his farmland, livestock and machinery [30]
He added a testimony statement to his will five days before his death that Winifred's recent marriage in no way changed his will [30]
Winifred had no idea of his fate until reading of his death in The West Australian newspaper on 31 August 1918 [30]
As directed in his will Winifred inherited his Three Springs farmland within leases 5003/56, 5251/56, 2255/55 and 9449/68 [30]
Winifred also inherited all horses, stock, implements, goods and chattels situated or entitled to be situated on the farm [30]
His land in Three Springs comprised within leases 4872/68 and 4873/68 was inherited by his brother John Arthur RICHARDSON [30]
The residue of his estate was inherited by his sister Mrs Alice May EDWARDS of Penong, South Australia [30]
His sister also received the personal effects he had on him when he died, which were sent to her in South Australia in 1919 [30]
The said personal effects consisted of a YMCA Wallet, letter, photo, card, compass, gold ring, knife, testament, stone and ribbon [30]
His name appears on the Three Springs Honour Board, which was unveiled on Tuesday 3 June 1919 [9: 6-Jun-1919] [10: 13-Jun-1919]
