     It came at a cost of £1,120/16/- (or 16/- per acre), payable by instalments over 15 years [27]
     Sold his partially paid off farm in Carnamah to Mrs Florence G. FRANCIS of Maitland, South Australia on 7 February 1927 [27]
Purchased 3,280 acres of prospective farmland in Winchester from the Midland Railway Company on 13 April 1927 [27]
    The 3,380 acres was Lot M1721 of Victoria Location 2023 and cost £1,394/4/3 (8/6 per acre), also payable by instalments [27]
    The Carnamah District Road Board rated the property on a value of £2,460 in 1928 but on appeal it was reduced to £1,393 [9: 6-Apr-1928]
    Sold his partly paid off farm in Winchester to "Gus" F. W. Gustav LIEBE on 22 September 1928 [27]
He purchased a new Chevrolet car in September 1927 [4: 24-Sep-1927]
     The car was registered with the Carnamah District Road Board and contained license plate CA-250 [325]
     In 1927 and 1928 had an account with Carnamah blacksmith, wheelwright and motor mechanics Henry Parkin & Son [53]
     His car was one of two local vehicles in Carnamah that were destroyed by fire in the first half of February 1928 [9: 17-Feb-1928]
     He also owned a Chevrolet truck, which was registered with the Carnamah District Road Board with license plate CA-181 [325]

     His wife was the daughter of veterinarian Henry F. BASFORD and had also previously spent time in Carnamah [39: 29-Nov-1945] [50]
