Grew up in West Toodyay and shifted to Carnamah with his brothers where they worked for a period [P36]
Contractor in Carnamah 1922-1935 [6]
Returned to Toodyay and married Elsie Frances SYRED in 1922 [P36]
In 1923 purchased from Theodore DAVIESON the vacant block at 11 Yarra Street, Carnamah (Lot 15 of Victoria Location 1936) [44]
     Erected a house at 11 Yarra Street, Carnamah and resided there with his wife and children until C.1925 [3] [P36]
In 1923 also purchased 21 Caron Street, Carnamah (Lot 26 of Victoria Location 1936) from the Midland Railway Company for £13 [27]
     He appears to have sold 21 Caron Street, which was a vacant block, to Robert MACKIE during the 1920s [3]
He worked doing contracting work for the Carnamah District Road Board in 1925 [10]
     In April 1925 they paid him £5 per chain to do work on the crossing for the Mulliah / Yarra Yarra Lakes in Carnamah [10: 1-May-1924]
     Formed and gravelled Dickson's Road in May 1925, for which he was paid £4 per chain [10: 29-May-1924]
On 23 June 1925 purchased from the Midland Railway Company 753 acres of farmland on the Carnamah-Bunjil Road, Carnamah [27]
     The 753 acres was Lot M1509 of Victoria Location 1936 and cost £489, payable by instalments over 15 years [27]
Farmer in Carnamah from 1925 until his death in 1970 [P36]
     They shifted from their house at 11 Yarra Street out to the farm after a house had been built [P36]
     Extended his farm by 925 acres with the lease and later purchase of a portion of Lot M1073 of Victoria Location 1936 [3]
     The 925 acres was leased and purchased from the Estate of the Late Donald MACPHERSON, who died in 1931 [3]
Resided at the Macpherson Homestead just east of Carnamah town from C.1940 until his death in 1970 [P36]
     Initially leased the homestead and its surrounding 100 acres from the Estate of the late Elizabeth MACPHERSON [0: image 03866]
     By 1947 he had purchased the Macpherson Homestead and its surrounding 100 acres (Victoria Location 1172) [3]
     Received electricity at the Homestead from local firm Henry Parkin & Son; in 1952 paid a flat monthly rate of £1.17.6 [53]
     In 1953 had the telephone connected to his home, the old Macpherson Homestead - was telephone number Carnamah-63 [60]
Retained ownership of his house at 11 Yarra Street, Carnamah until selling it during the 1953-54 financial to G. LUSHEY [3]
Signed the petition in February 1923 for the Irwin Licensing Court to grant a hotel license for Carnamah [10: 9-Mar-1923]
Foundation Committee Member of the Carnamah Rifle Club in 1925 [9: 10-Jul-1925]
Received 2nd prize for a Sheaf of Oats for Hay at the Carnamah District Agricultural Society's Annual Show in 1926 [9: 15-Oct-1926]
Had an account with Carnamah blacksmith, wheelwright and motor mechanics Henry Parkin & Son from the 1920s to the 1940s [53]

     His foot remained firmly in the off side stirrup and as he tried to free it the began galloping away [0]
     He was dragged for about three chains and received serious leg injuries, the stirrup eventually detaching itself [0]
     Walked home however the following day Dr M. A. MAYRHOFER ordered his removal to the hospital in Three Springs [0]
     Was required to stay in hospital about one week at the unfortunate time of seeding [0]
In 1955 he requested for the closure of the Old Telegraph Road, that passed through his Macpherson Hoemstead block [4: 3-Sep-1955]
