He is likely the "E. Farrell" who was a member of the Carnamah Cricket Club in 1914 [9: 1-May-1914]
Member of the Mingenew Cricket Club 1920-1926 [9: 23-Jan-1920, 9-Mar-1923, 19-Nov-1926]
His wife gave birth to their daughter Mary Mercy in Mingenew in 1921 [15]
In 1923 he was recognised as the best umpire for the season in the North Midlands Football Association [9: 17-Aug-1923]
He was one of two Central Umpires appointed for the North Midlands Football Association in 1924 [9: 4-Jul-1924]
He umpired the football match between Arrino and Three Springs in Three Springs on Sunday 22 June 1924 [9: 27-Jun-1924]
It was reported that he had a very hard task umpiring the match and that "all players were well satisfied with his exhibition" [9]
