Daughter of farmer James TAIT and Agnes HALL ^[28]
Resided in Spingfield, Fife prior to marrying ^[28]
Married Robert CARSTAIRS on 7 October 1898 in Crail, Fife, Scotland ^{[20] [28]}
They resided on South Callange Farm in Ceres, Fife for a number of years later on Balchrystie Farm in Kilconquhar, Fife ^{[20] [28]}
Along with his her husband departed London, England on the steamship Barrabool on 20 December 1924 ^[203]
After a voyage of a month and ten days they arrived on the Barrabool in Fremantle, Western Australia on 30 January 1925 ^[70]
Upon leaving her husband gave his occupation as "Farming" ^[203] and when they arrived gave their address as Carnamah, Western Australia ^[70]
Their sons John and James were farming in Carnamah, having taken up land from the Midland Railway Company ^{[19] [27]}
Within four months of their arrival she and her husband had left Carnamah and were living in Perenjori ^{[39: 22-Apr-1925]}
