Welcome Party at Carnamah
"At the invitation of Mr Ralph Tacobucci, of Carnamah, and with the object of extending a welcome to his son (Mr John Tacobucci), a number of friends of the former gentleman assembled at the home of Mr and Mrs E. K. Wells at Carnamah on Saturday night last to participate in a social programme and barbecue. It is perhaps interesting to note that the host has not seen his family since leaving Italy twenty-five years ago, and after the recent arrival of his son in Australia he is hopeful of making a complete re-union when his wife joins him within the next two or three months. During the course of the evening the secretary of the Carnamah Road Board (Mr A. C. Bierman) proposed a toast of welcome to Mr John Tacobucci, to whom he intimated that his father had for many years been held in very high esteem by many residents of the district. He also expressed thanks to Mrs Wells for an excellent supper and the use of her home for the function, and the guest of honour suitably acknowledged the welcome and expressed thanks to his father for having arranged such a happy and pleasant function."
