     During the evening herself, her sisters, Annie BYRNE and the Misses BERRIGAN sang the song "Australia Will Be There" [10]
Herself and sister Rene attended the Children's Fancy Dress Ball in Three Springs on 24 October 1917 as "The Magpies" [10: 2-Nov-1917]
Student at the Dominican Convent School in Three Springs [98]
Died 20 March 1919 at Rosella Hospital, Geraldton; buried at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in East Street, Geraldton [P40]
After the resumption of the cemetery in Geraldton her headstone was relocated to between her parents graves at Three Springs [P40]


From The Geraldton Guardian newspaper, Thursday 20 March 1919:
Thrown From a Pony - Young Girl's Tragic Death
"A young girl named Amy Dolores Thomas the fourteen year old daughter of Mr. C. Thomas, farmer Three Springs, died in the Rosella Hospital this morning as the result of a riding accident. The girl had gone out yesterday on her pony on a message, and a little while later she was found by the butcher lying on the side of the road, having evidently been thrown from her pony. She was unconscious, and evidently seriously hurt. It was decided to bring her into Geraldton for treatment, and she was still unconscious last night when she was admitted to the Rosella Hospital, and she passed away at half past eleven o'clock this morning without ever properly regaining consciousness. Deceased was the niece of Mrs. W. Bennett, Eleanor St. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at the Roman Catholic Cemetery."


From The Geraldton Express newspaper, Friday 21 March 1919:
"A very sad accident occurred at Three Springs, Midland Line on Wednesday last, whereby Amy Dolores sixth daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Thomas came to her death.  The little girl (who was affectionately known as "Billy") was sent to bring in some horses riding a quiet pony.  Some time subsequently she was found lying injured and unconscious some distance from the homestead. Amy in common with the rest of the children, was a good and fearless rider and her horse must have stumbled throwing her off, and probably dragging the poor child for some distance.  The sufferer was taken to Geraldton by the night train and brought to the residence of her aunt Mrs. W. Bennett being placed in the Rosella Hospital early yesterday morning, where she succumbed to her injuries after some hours, having never recovered complete consciousness.  Little Amy was a fine intelligent lass and a splendid example of what a useful, healthy, well trained Australian country girl should be. This papers best sympathies go out to the bereaved family in their great loss. The remains of this well-loved little girl who was barely 14 years old was interred in the Roman Catholic Cemetery this afternoon. The sorrow stricken parents, with the victim's brother, and Mrs. Booth, her eldest sister are in town."


From The Geraldton Guardian newspaper, Saturday 22 March 1919:
"Funeral - A large number of friends attended the funeral at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Geraldton, of  the late Miss Amy Dolores Thomas, the fourteen year old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C. Thomas of Three Springs who died on Thursday, as a result of a riding accident the previous day. The pall bearers were Messrs. W. Keeley, W. Bennett, J. E. Giles and J. Silcock. The Rev. Father Masterton officiated. Wreaths were sent by Mr. & Mrs. F. Green, Mr. & Mrs. W. Angel and family, Mr. and Mrs. Berrigan and family, Mr. & Mrs. Opperman (Three Springs), Mrs. Koch (Three Springs) and Mr. and Mrs. Ironside and family. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. George Lester."

From The Moora Herald and Midland Districts Advocate newspaper, Friday 28 March 1919:
"Just after going to press last issue we received the sad news that Miss Amy Thomas, aged 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Thomas of Three Springs, and sister of Mrs. W. Booth, of Moora, had, on Wednesday, been thrown from a horse, and conveyed to Geraldton. The young lady was seriously hurt and succumbed to her injuries on Thursday morning. The deepest sympathy is felt for the bereaved relatives."
