From The Irwin Index newspaper, Saturday 12 November 1927:
Personal
"Mr Alfred Nind, late of the Railway Parade, Carlton, Sydney, has established himself as a tailor at Carnamah. Mr Nind is an experienced tailor and cutter and has already secured a large number of orders for clothes. To have to travel to Perth or Geraldton when in need of a new suit, or worse still, to send measurements, is a very unsatisfactory manner of obtaining suits, so Mr Nind's presence in Carnamah is sure to be appreciated."
From The Irwin Index newspaper, Saturday 17 December 1927:
New Suits for Carnamah
"Now that the harvest is practically assured, there will doubtless be a rush to procure new suits, to enable farmers to go away for the holiday which most of them look forward to taking after harvest, dressed as stylishly as are their brothers in the city. Carnamah and the surrounding districts will be especially favoured in the matter of procuring these, for Mr Alfred Nind (late of Sydney), has decided that Carnamah is going to become a big centre, and has, consequently, opened a tailoring business there. His extensive experience in the large cities of the Eastern States will enable him to guarantee suits of stylish cut, and perfect fit. He will rely on moderate prices combined with the best workmanship to ensure the satisfaction of his already numerous clientele. Mr Nind has been so well pleased with the patronage accorded him in the town, that he contemplates building additional business premises in the new future."
